The grounds are home to over 800 established trees including mature oak, ash, alder, walnut, cherry, beech, birch, maple, lime, chestnut, willow and poplar with over 1000m of native hedgerows creating a wonderful habitat for bird and insect life.

Wild orchids, rushes and bluebells provide the perfect environment for a wide variety of insects. A wildlife haven for nature lovers you will see deer, badgers, foxes, rabbits and down at the lake carp, roach, orfe, dragonflies and otters.

Owls, woodpeckers and kingfishers are regular visitors with red kite, ravens and hawks prowling the skies. Swifts, house martins and swallows visit annually and fill the skies with their aerobatics in the summer months.
